Piper

The NEMI Piper is a microservices framework that provides the data piping and autonomic functions under the NEMI framework. The Piper is responsible for the transfer of data (metrics and logs) collected from the sensors of an Active System on the Edge to a Central location for pre-processing and visualization. The pre-processed data is provided through a data lake to the NEMI AI / Cognitive Modules - NEMI Savant. The rules (RuleBook) generated by the NEMI Savant modules provide the foundation for the autonomic parts. The autonomic services are responsible for the distribution and execution of the rules on the Edges and enforce them on the Active System through its actuators.

Thus, NEMI Piper fills out the reactive part of the overall NEMI framework:
